| The Guerilla has officially left the building. |
| The Guerilla site will remain alive. |
We are working to create an information hub, where the LA Anusara Kula can go to get information about upcoming Anusara events in the LA area. We'd like to make it a site where teachers can upload flyers for workshops, let students know about retreats, and possibly even list their regular teaching schedules online.
There will be Guerilla Events in the future and hopefully at some point the classes may resume. We will send word through the newsletter and will continue to post events on the events page.
Stay in touch! Subscribe to the newsletter. |

So long, Farewell, Auf Wiedersein, Goodnight...
I want to thank each and every one of you for being part of the Guerilla Yoga LA Kula, whether you came once, or never, or every Sunday. It has been an honor and a joy to be part of this effort to make a place to practice and play together in LA and while I, for one, will truly miss the lovely lucite chandelier, the dust rabbits in every corner and the evolving images of deities in the plaster ceiling, I know we will meet on and off the matt as we continue to show up and say YES to life.
Thank you Marc for your vision of community and the courage and where-with-all to carry it out. It was a resounding success and the ripples of that vision have spread out among us, connecting people from the east and west, north and south sides of the greater LA area. We are Fa - Mi - Lee!!! and where ever we are we are not alone. The connection we share remains in our hearts and memories and the seeds you planted are continuing to grow and thrive in LA and beyond!!
With Love and Light,
Mackie

From our beloved founder : ) |
This is an excerpt from an email from Marc:
"GY really just started out of necessity ... to maintain the YogaInsideOut community, provide a venue for me to continue teaching, and mostly to create a stronger anusara community by having a neutral, non-studio space in which students could meet and practice. out of habit and/or convenience, students tend to make a beeline to their local studios (which is great) and only meet other kula members when a visiting teacher comes to town. it was my intention to find an ongoing venue where students from City, Still, Blackdog, Mission Street, YMCA, et al, could come together and meet/practice/eat weekly. for a donation.
thank you all for being part of guerilla yoga - la history. guerilla yogi (as it's now called) is alive and well and has really empowered the paris kula. it's a team effort with the other certified teacher here named anne vandewalle so we alternate every other saturday. we are about 30-40 strong each week. elena brower taught the guerilla class last weekend! it was great fun.
so all things come to an end. my love and gratitude to each of you ~ " |
